The hotel is located in central Hanoi near the old quarter which is perfect since this is well connected to all the major amenities. Hang Dau (Or the famous shopper's paradise is just a 5-minute walk along with the scenic red river which is just 500 metres away. 10/10 for location. The room was very spacious. We got upgraded to a larger room at the same price which was a bonus but even the standard rooms are spacious enough which is great considering this is right in the middle of the busiest part of the city where space is a constraint. However, the view from the room is not much and overlooks neighboring building unless you take a room at higher floor. The swimming pool isn't much to speak of. Think of a slightly large bath-tub and that's the swimming pool, however it was clean and well maintained. Breakfast spread for non-vegetarians is great (with English breakfast buffet) but vegetarian options are very limited (just 1-2 main dishes apart from desserts). The staff were very courteous and always eager to help. We had a great experience with Silk Queen and would highly recommend it. Pro : If you book any day tours from Hanoi, then choose this hotel because you'll get free pick-up and drop from here. All tour operators provided free pic-up and drop service to this hotel. Con : Not really a con for me, but since the market is nearby weekends can be quite busy and filled with traffic but this was a positive for us and gave us a chance to experience the hustle and bustle of the city and witness the frenzy up close.

Beautiful Hotel is perfectly located on main road, centre of Old Quarter Hanoi. We prefered to walk to local locations to truely appreciate the culture and electric Atmosphere of the locals. Roof top Pool was amazing after out all day in 33-43 deg heat sight seeing. Breakfast daily was great and food was always nice and fresh. Rooms were very clean, serviced daily and very comfortable. I had a king bed and bath in my room. Staff were the most amazing friendly helpful people. We were able to communicate most times as they understood some English. I have to highly commend Lucas our Tour Organiser and basically anything else we needed him for. He came across as the main man. He quickly organised on the spot an over night tour that night to SaPa on sleeper bus and over night stay in village. He also organised our HaLong Bay cruise tour and return transport back to HaNoi 4 days later. Gave us clear daily directions and advise to local attractions and organised taxis if we requested them. Other ladies at the desk VANG (Yellow ) in English who works very long hours. VAN ( gold) and TRANG (page) could not of been any nicer and welcoming. They were very helpful and greeted us everyday with their beautiful smiles and kind heart. We felt more like family then strangers after our 12 days with them. We will defiantly stay there again and highly recommend the SILK QUEEN as a great place to stay. Thank You for making our first trip to Hanoi easy and extremly enjoyable.

Location was fantastic, an easy walk to local attractions, shops markets and bars. Staff were lovely and accommodated our request of a high floor. Room was spacious for the three of us and a sofa and coffee table was a bonus to have. Breakfast was basic but enough to set you up for the morning. Rooftop pool was lovely although it was quite cold and a little dusty (the whole rooftop felt a little unused) but my daughter loved having it to herself for a refreshing splash about each night. Overall it is a little dated but for the price we paid you can't complain!

The staff were amazing and very helpful particularly Lucas the manager who helped us in terms liaising with locals to locate and get our delayed luggage back. He directed us to local street food vendors which were delicious and helped us acclimitise to local pricing and ways of doing things. He looked after our family extremely well and has been a favourite person thus far for our kids. Hotel had great breakfast, was very central and within walking distance of a lot of things we wanted to see. Lots of food and coffee options very close.

The hotel itself is pretty standard - rooms are clean, decor and furnishings could do with an update, but the STAFF makes this place a complete standout! Mr Lucas and the Reception team went above and beyond to accommodate me and my family after we found ourselves in a pinch, needing to have our luggage AND passports delivered to us so we could make a connecting flight. They are trustworthy, resourceful, communicative and very kind.
